I am a self-proclaimed shopaholic, always have been, always will be. When I got my first student loan I spent almost every penny of it on Dr Martens and a cool (at the time) Tye-dye denim jacket from Topshop so could only afford to eat a single bowl of pasta and tinned tomatoes a day for the rest of term. I’ve always been obsessed with clothes for as long as I can remember; when I was really little I had a thing for those plastic princess shoes you got in a cardboard packet along with a wand and a tiara- my only issue was squeezing my man feet into the dainty little things.
Shopping is sometimes like a drug to me, you may think I’m being over dramatic but I’m really not. I get a sudden rush of adrenaline when my online order comes, I try everything on, searching for that high which more often than not never comes so I package it all back up and ship it back to wherever it came from. For the past couple of years I’ve managed to keep my addiction at bay, I had bigger fish to fry; I was saving up to move to Asia. For a long time I wouldn’t even allow myself to even look at clothes, I knew I’d lose myself and spend every penny I had. Recently, I’m saving for nothing and my addiction to shopping has started to rear it’s ugly head again. My only issue this time is that between renting a house, paying for bills and a car… I’m pretty skint. BUT that doesn’t stop me from looking. I spend all my time adding clothes to my basket, fooling myself that I’m going to buy them, only to 5 minutes later delete everything. Unless it’s gym clothes, then it is pretty much guaranteed to wind up at my house the following day.
So this wishlist is completely hypothetical, I’d be surprised if I could actually afford any of it, no matter how much I want (need) it all. It goes without saying that I’m not affiliated with any of these sites…but if they want to send me free clothes then I’m all for it.
This season I’m obsessed with pastels, mini’s, faux fur and slogan t-shirts. Not much has changed since I was 6 years old really. Enjoy my S/S edits from three of my favourite online brands.
